Sky Arts Master of Photography® 2018
Master of Photography is a photography contest broadcasted by Sky Arts and produced by Ballandi. Ten photographers are selected annually among thousands of candidates all over Europe to compete against each other in 8 photography commissions, ranging from portrait photography to reportage and landscape.
The 2018 edition was hosted by Oliviero Toscani, Elisabeth Biondi and Mark Sealy, who had the role of selecting the best and worst photographic project every week.
As the youngest contestant, I have been proclaimed winner of the contest thus getting the possibility to work alongside Oliviero Toscani at the creative research center F A B R I C A.
Task 1 - Dancing Naples
The first task. Everything is new. It feels insane. "Still, you've been selected. There has to be a reason, even though you can not see it" - everyone tells me. Still, I don't see it. My body is tensing, anticipation growing. "TIME TO BEGIN!". A deep breath, the timer starts ticking. Then something changes. Here it is, that home-like feeling. Finally, I am shooting again. Everything will be alright. Time flies.
